Simple Apple Juice

3 large apples
Cut out the stems and mix sweet and tart apples for the best fresh juice taste.
Juicing the peel will greatly increase the antioxidant of the juice. The peels and skins of fruits and vegetables are where you will find the majority of antioxidants. This is their protection against oxidative damage as a result of sun exposure. Flavonoids are the type of antioxidant found most abundantly in apples and their peel.

Sweet Orange Juice

- 5 large oranges
Peel oranges, juice and enjoy.
For increased antioxidant content juice the white pith too, but don’t juice the peel because it tastes awful! The pith is loaded with antioxidants called flavonoids and juicing it will greatly increaser the overll antioxidant profile of the juice. You can even scrape a little more of the white stuff from inside the peel and put that through the juicer, too.

The Subtle Strawberry

- 1/3 cup of strawberries
- 1 cup of blueberries
- 1 apple
Wash all the ingredients well, top the strawberries and juice.
This one is also a favorite fresh fruit juice recipes of ours. There’s just something about this combination.
Blueberries are shown in animal studies to help increase brain function, helping to prevent against Alzheimer’s disease and improving motor skills.

Kiwi Wisdomberry

- 3 kiwis
- 2 Cups of blueberries
Peel kiwis and wash berries, juice, enjoy.
This was a favorite of my wife’s after she had her wisdom teeth removed and couldn’t eat solids!
Kiwi fruit is an excellent source of vitamin C, helping to keep our immune system strong and our skin firm. Vitamin C is needed to create collagen, the elasticated sticky substance that binds our skin cells together and keps the skin looking young.

  • ½ a Mango
  • 1 Passion Fruit
  • 3 Oranges (Valencia if possible)
A lovely, refreshing smoothie perfect for sitting out in the garden on a summer's day.
Peel, prepare and freeze the pineapple, mango and passion fruit. Passion fruit freeezes well in ice-cube trays. Place the frozen ingredients in a blender followed by the juice from the oranges. Blend well and serve immediately.

Banana & Berries Smoothie

  • 1 Large Banana
  • 1 Large Handful of Strawberries or other Berries
  • 2-3 Apples Yoghurt (optional)
Smoothies are a delicious way to conveniently introduce large portions of fruit into the diet and comprise a simple, nutritious meal in a glass.
Prepare the bananas and berries as appropriate and freeze them. Strawberries are commonly used in smoothies, but blueberries, blackberries and raspberries also make excellent choices. Place the frozen ingredients in a blender or 'smoothie maker'. Juice the apples and add to the blender with the yoghurt if desired. Blend until smooth then serve immediately and enjoy this fantastic drink.

Carrot, Parsley, Spinach & Celery

  • 4 Carrots
  • 1 Small Handful of Flat Leaf Parsely
  • 100g Fresh Spinach
  • 2 Sticks of Celery
Parsley, particularly the flat leaf kind rather than the curly, provides a very potent herbal juice. As such, it should never be taken in too large a quantity. Its properties can help maintain healthy blood vessels and a normal function of the adrenal and thyroid glands, while also acting as a diuretic. The combination is believed to provide excellent qualities for regenerating and healing tissues within the body.

Simply Carrot Juice

- 5 Medium carrots
This one is pretty simple!
Wash and top the carrots, juice and enjoy.
Wash your juicer immediately it is not made with stainless steel, otherwise the carrots will stain it.
If you drink enough carrot juice everday your skin will start to turn slightly orange! This is because carrot juice is very high in beta-carotene, an orange-colored antioxidant that gives carrots their color. If we consume a lot of beta-carotene it will build up in our skin. This is not dangerous however.

Plain O’ O.J

-4 medium-sized oranges
Juicing Tip: When juicing oranges (or any kind of citrus fruit in your recipes for juicers) it is a good idea to juice the white membranes at the center of the orange. The majority of the bio-flavonoids in citrus fruits are found in the white membranes. Scrape off some of the white membranes inside the peel and include them in the juice. We don’t recommend juicing the whole peel, this will produce very sour unpleasant raw juice recipes.

Pomegranate Juice

5 pomegranates

Juicing Tips:
Cut open the pomegranate and gently scoop out the seeds. Only put the seeds into your juicer machine and discard everything else. The seeds will not make it into the final juice but will be discarded into the pulp collector.
You will find that the seeds of 5 pomegranates will provide you with a small amount of juice – 1 cup at best, depending on the size of the pomegranate. I recommend using a blender for making pomegranate – you will get a lot more juice.

A Very Berry Medley

2 cups of strawberries
- 2 cups of blueberries
- 1 1/2 cups of raspberries Berries are among the quickest and easiest of fruits to juice. The only prepping they need is a quick rinse. Strawberries are a small exception as they will need to be topped before juicing. All berries are a great source of antioxidants such as anthocyanins, flavonoids and ellagic acid, all of which have been associated with anti-cancer and anti-heart disease benefits.

Alkaline Juice

-1 cup of spinach
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2 stalks of celery including leaves
- 3 carrots
- 1/2 apple Juicing Tip: Juice cucumbers with their skins on. The dark green skin is a great source of chlorophyll, a phytochemical that can help build red blood cells. Cucumbers also contain silica, a mineral that is good for the skin. Make sure to wash them before making cucumber homemade juice recipes.
